It's a project I've been working on for quite some time now and it's finally released.
The idea behind it was to show that all people were made from the same "materials", basic raw emotions and personality traits that compose us all : dream, innocence, passion and anger. Each was represented by an allegorical human representation, and by an element (respectively air, water, fire and earth). Finally combined, they form us, they form "s/he", a neutral being, everyone.
The film was made as a poetic and aesthetic representation of this idea. It was shot with a Phantom camera in extreme slow motion, at 1500 fps, and it was important that all characters/representations were played by one single model, since they were all parts of the same being, hence the choice of Alex Wetter, who regularly portray convincingly both men and women. The artistic team was composed of Jean-Louis Padis as director of photography, Jabe Vincent as make-up artist, Julien Balmain as fashion stylist and Mark Maborough as chief editor, all well known artists in their respective field, with an original score composed for the occasion.
